The official throwing distance for the ICDL is 7 feet, 9-1/4 inches (2.37 meters), as measured along the floor from the plane of the face of the dartboard. The height of the board from the floor to the center of the bull is 5 feet, 8 inches (173 centimeters). If you prefer, you can measure from the center of the bull’s-eye to the throwing line a total of 9 feet, 7-1/2 inches (2.934 meters).
League quality boards should be mounted in a well lit area and allows ample room behind the throw line for players, and as far away from bar traffic and distractions as possible. The board should be firmly mounted to prevent undue wobbling and placed with the number "20" at the top.
